Now in his 12th season with the Harlem Globetrotters, Anthony 'Buckets' Blakes will visit the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, on Thursday, March 27, at 4:30 p.m. Buckets' appearance in Ottawa comes 10 days in advance of the Globetrotters' April 6 game at Canadian Tire Centre.

Who: Harlem Globetrotter and Ambassador of Goodwill Anthony 'Buckets' Blakes.

What: Buckets, the Globetrotters' ball-handling wizard and four-point shot specialist, will be speaking to a group of children and youth at the McCann Clubhouse about the team's ABCs of Bullying Prevention program, which focuses on Action, Bravery and Compassion.

During his visit, Buckets will discuss the three key words in the ABCs and various tools that can be used on a daily basis to reduce bullying in our community. He will equate what it means to be part of a team to how the participants can offer support to one another to help stop bullying.

The important message of bullying and violence prevention will be conveyed with participation from the boys and girls at McCann Clubhouse, which will also incorporate the Globetrotters' signature ball-handling skills and humour into a well-balanced program designed to inform and entertain.

Following the ABCs of Bullying, Buckets will kick-off the club's 5 p.m. B-Ball Skillz n' Drillz clinic by teaching the children and youth at McCann Clubhouse a handful of the Globetrotters' most well-known tricks.

When: Thursday, March 27, at 4:30 p.m.

Where: Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa - McCann Clubhouse, 430 McArthur Ave., Ottawa, Ont.
