Physical Activity & Health Lifestyle Programs


BGC Ottawa Aquatics programming includes swimming lessons, open swims, and focuses on lifesaving skills with an emphasize on stroke improvement, fitness, competitive skills, and team building.

Cooking & Nutrition

A healthy body and well-balanced lifestyle happen as much in the kitchen as it does on the playing field. Members learn the cooking basis... and get to eat their projects after!

HEROS Hockey

The premise of HEROS is to use the game of hockey as a catalyst to attract youth to a program offering support for education self-esteem building and life skills training.

Sports & Leadership League

The SLL is Ottawa’s only FREE, year-round competitive sports program for youth ages 6-18. It focuses on skills development, leadership, and teaching the importance of responsible and healthy competition whilst providing a healthy and safe environment for Members to have fun playing sports.


The Thunderbolts program provides high level competition and training to players who have the potential to play competitively, but don’t necessarily have the means.

Walk This Way

Walk This Way is a goal-oriented wellness program that encourages youth and teens to become physically active while exploring communities beyond the ones they are already familiar with.
