Black History Month

Published February 01, 2022 11:00

Black History MonthThis Black History Month, we invite the BGC Ottawa community to learn, reflect and honor the transformative contributions of African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) people to our past, present, and future.

We acknowledge the continuous impact that systemic racism has on ACB communities, leaving our youth struggling to navigate and thrive in society.

During Black History Month and all year long, BGC Ottawa remains dedicated to offering essential programming. We strive to maintain safe and barrier-free spaces that reflect the lived realities of the communities we serve.

Together, we will take the time to learn about local artists, advocates, black owned businesses, and service providers who continuously strengthen our community. We thank you for planting the roots of #blackexcellence.

Join us this month, on social media, at our virtual Clubhouse, and our in-person programs to learn more about our commitment towards equity, and how you can get involved in supporting the up-and-coming Black leaders of this generation.
