The Board Chair is a partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other board members. She/He/They provide leadership to BGC Ottawa as we enthusiastically strive to become recognized as the leading child and youth services organization in Ottawa. The Board Chair supports and sustains the work of BGC Ottawa, and provides governance, leadership, and strategic fundraising support.
The Board Chair is wildly passionate about the success of BGC Ottawa’s mission and values and has a track record of lived, professional and board leadership experience. The Board Chair will have achieved leadership stature in business, government, philanthropy, community development, or the non-profit sector. Their accomplishments will allow them to attract other well-qualified, high-performing board members, and engage in philanthropic, community building, and profile-building activities on behalf of the organization.
