On Saturday October 1 The Shine Foundation, a charitable arts foundation based in the National Capital Region, will be hosting a fundraising concert for the Shine Community Music Program (SCMP).
The SCMP provides musical instruments and instruction through the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. The program is a hit with neighbourhood kids, and needs additional funding to continue. You can read more about it here .
The fundraiser will feature the 20th Century Boys, a well-known Ottawa band, who will donate all proceeds to the SCMP. The band plays a selection of great classic rock, covering Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, The Beatles, and many others. You can read more about the band and their charitable activities here. The Boys will play in the garden of a private home 245 Tudor Place, 3-7pm, Saturday October 1. Rain venue will be announced as the gig approaches.
