Go the distance for BGCO at Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend

Published January 19, 2016 15:52

SccThe Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa is excited to once again be participating in Ottawa's signature running event: Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend and the Scotiabank Charity Challenge on May 28 and 29, 2016.  Make your Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend more meaningful by going the distance for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa.

The Scotiabank Charity Challenge allows the over 48,000 participants who sign up for any of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend events the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the charity of their choice.  The participating charities keep 100 percent of all proceeds raised and benefit greatly from the efforts of all runners.  No matter which distance you participate in, your fundraising efforts will make a difference in the lives of Ottawa's children and youth!

There are several ways you can support the BGCO in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge:

Pledge:  Visit www.runottawa.ca to register to run in any of the races during Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend and sign up for the Scotiabank Charity Challenge. You must remember to select Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa as your charity of choice. Then spread the word and share the link to your fundraising page to collect pledges from friends, family and co-workers.

Donate: Make a one-time donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa on the Scotiabank Charity Challenge website (no running required!).

Support: If someone you know is fundraising for us, show your support by donating to their campaign and then coming out to support them along the route on race day as they cross the finish line!

Please contact Julie Dunnigan at jdunnigan@bgcottawa.org or 613-232-0925 EXT. 238 if you have any questions.
