Published November 29, 2013 12:08

Bridgehead announces the launch of its EK#65 Blend to support the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BGCO) Homework Club. Erik Karlsson is proud to have developed this full-flavoured blend in partnership with Bridgehead to support BGCO. From each pound of coffee sold, $2 will be given back to the BGCO.
"The Boys and Girls Club's Homework Club provides a safe and supportive space for youth to do their homework, be active, and to create solid friendships. The benefits of this type of program particularly in at-risk neighbourhoods have long-lasting effects. They make the fabric of our community so much stronger. We are honoured to be working with Erik Karlsson on this special fundraising blend for an important community program. We had fun developing it together,” says Tracey Clark, Managing Director, Bridgehead.

“I want to thank Bridgehead for agreeing to participate in this fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa,” notes Erik Karlsson. “I enjoyed the experience of developing my own blend of coffee, EK #65, with Bridgehead’s Director of coffee Ian Clark and Managing Director Tracey Clark. I am totally impressed with the quality of coffee that Bridgehead provides its customers. I hope everyone will enjoy the EK #65 blend as much I do, in fact, I would enjoy reading your opinions of it, so tweet me your reviews (@erikkarlsson65) with the hashtag #ek65bridgehead. ”

“The partnership between Bridgehead and Erik is incredible,” says Graham Macmillan, President, Board of Directors, BGCO. “We are very grateful the funds are being directed to the Homework Club at the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. Thank you to all the coffee enthusiasts who will buy EK #65 blend as a gift or to brew in their own home.”
